For me, this business grew out of a combination of passion for the products and a strong pull to financially contribute to the family budget. I had always been financially independent, I started working at age 13 and owned my first home by age 23. Relying solely on my husbands income was foreign to me and honestly, I didn’t love it.
On top of that I found new mothermood a beautiful but lonely time. All of my friends were still working full time and I found that my days were a blur of breast feeding and nappies which I both loved and resented at the same time. The business was a beautiful distraction and provided a community of likeminded women who lifted each other up.
